Wild and Wicked Cowboys

The only thing separating Texas and Louisiana is the Sabine River. The men on both sides of the border share the same capacity to be wild and wicked. When I started the Hell Yeah! series, I concentrated on creating a family of cowboy heroes who lived south of Austin on the Guadalupe River near a town called Kerrville. I love the area, I think it’s one of the most beautiful in the world. But I also love Louisiana and soon my attention and inspiration turned eastward and I added friends and family to the McCoys who made their home in Bayou Country. You might not think Cowboys and Cajuns mix, but in my world they do because that’s my reality – and they say write what you know…so I do.

Now sixteen or seventeen books later, I forget, I’m still hopping back and forth across the Sabine taking turns spinning…
