Susanne Leist’s  THE DEAD GAME

Lost in the forest of my dreams.

To roam forever in the darkest night.

Never to feel the sun’s kiss my face.

Alone to face the worst of my fears.

Wolf will come for me in this forest.

To take me on his journey down below.

I will become one with him and his kind.

Never to see my one true love ever again.

# 5 STARS Review# The Kept Woman – Karin Slaughter

The Kept Woman

The Kept Woman by Karin Slaughter

The latest novel in the Will Trent series from No. 1 bestselling author, Karin Slaughter.

A body is discovered in an empty Atlanta warehouse. It’s the body of an ex-cop, and from the moment Special Agent Will Trent walks in he knows this could be the most devastating case of his career. Bloody footprints leading away from the scene reveal that another victim – a woman – has left the scene and vanished into thin air. And, worst of all, the warehouse belongs to the city’s biggest, most politically-connected, most high-profile athlete – a local hero protected by the world’s most expensive lawyers. A local hero Will has spent the last six months investigating on a brutal rape charge.

But for Will – and also for Dr Sara Linton, the GBI’s newest medical examiner – the case is about to get even worse. Because an unexpected discovery at the scene reveals a personal link to Will’s troubled past. The consequences will wreak havoc on his life and the lives of those he loves, those he works with, and those he pursues.

But Sara’s scene-of-the-crime diagnosis is that they only have a few hours to find the missing woman before she bleeds out

5 of 5 stars

What can I say?
I’m in mourning as I have another year to wait for a new book from Karin Slaughter.
It was great to be back with The GBI gang, it felt like a family reunion.
The one where everyone who is dreading the arrival of Aunty Amanda and Cousin Angie.
At the front and centre we have Angie, Will Trent’s wife manipulating everyone behind the scenes as usual.
We have murder, corruption , and a lot of heartache.
I don’t want to spoil it for fans, but this was Karin Slaughter at her best.
I loved every minute of it, and can’t wait for the next one.

Publication date: August 9th 2016
Genres: Contemporary, New Adult, Romance

All Patricia Fitzgerald wants is to live happily ever after with her soldier…

With their relationship finally out in the open, and Carter on the fast track to recovery, Patty spends Black Friday helping him with his charity event. Their attempt to spread Christmas cheer is interrupted, though, when Patty’s ex-boyfriend Ben, who has been harassing her for months, shows up. Fearing for Patty’s life, one of the men on the protection detail springs into action.

Patty finally thinks her worries are over, but the media won’t leave her alone…

The press is everywhere. Patty wants to move on with her life, but they’re relentless in their badgering about the circumstances surrounding Ben. If that isn’t enough stress to endure, someone spikes Patty’s drink during a New Year’s Eve event, and it isn’t her meddling ex. Luckily, Carter is there to save her when she collapses, but this constant threat to her life isn’t going away.

Planning a wedding becomes tedious instead of fun when you’re constantly looking over your shoulder…

A cake tasting is supposed to be one of those days as a future bride when you get to sit back and take a break from the chaos of planning the ceremony. Someone new is out there, though, and they aren’t happy with how Patty handled Ben and her newfound fame in the press. Can Carter manage to keep his fiancé safe long enough to put their ordeal with Ben behind them for good and finally become…

…forever her soldier?

Author Bio:

Alison Mello is a wife and stay at home mom to a wonderful little boy. She lives with her amazing family in Massachusetts. She loves playing soccer, basketball and football with her son.

After having her son, Alison started reading again and fell in love with Contemporary Romance. Reading made her happy and gave her something to do when she had downtime. As she started to read more, she started to noticed things she really enjoyed in a book and things she didn’t. She began to have ideas for writing one of her own. One day she literally woke up and started writing. She realized that if there was ever a time for her to write, it was now. She had a part time job to give her something to do. The hours at work were slow and she was bored with what she was doing, so while her son was off enjoying his friends over summer vacation she got started.

Alison finished the first book in two weeks and decided that she really enjoyed writing, so she kept going. She already had ideas in mind for books two and three, so she kept writing. That is how the Learning to Love Series was born. Somewhere along the line, one of my Beta readers convinced me that Michael, a character from Finding Love, needed his own story. That is when Alison added the fourth and final book. Alison hopes you enjoy her books as much as she enjoyed writing them.

She’s so glad she started this writing journey and hopes you will stay with her for the ride. Chasing Dreams is scheduled to release in April and the first two books of the Love Conquers Life series will be out this summer!

**Book Tour** The Librarian Shoots a Gun by Amber Gilchrist

Audrey Scott is more upset for her jilted cousin than for the best man who supposedly disappeared and caused the cancellation of the wedding. That is, until the cops come around looking for him on suspicion of murder. When that very same best man, Foster McGuire, ends up bleeding in Audrey’s closet, she has no choice but to try and get him off the hook for a crime he didn’t commit.

Too bad there’s too many people, from an irritating homicide detective who’s way too attractive for Audrey’s own good, right to mob bosses, who don’t want to see Foster McGuire tell his story. Audrey is no detective. In fact, she’s a children’s librarian. However, there’s always room for some good old investigation work between story times, and she’s going to use the skills she knows to follow a trail that starts with murder and ends with betrayal, with a whole lot of guns in between.

Amber Gilchrist lives in New Mexico with her husband and five children. She writes mysteries and LDS Romantic Comedies. Under the name Aimee Gilchrist, she writes mysteries and suspense.  She calls her lifetime of jumping from one job to another ‘experience’ for her books and not an inability to settle down. Amber loves mysteries and a good, happy romance. She also loves to laugh. Sometimes she likes all of them together.

A fan of quirky movies and indie books, Amber likes to be with her family, is socially inept, and fears strangers and small yippy dogs. She alternates between writing and being a mom and wife. She tries to do both at the same time but her kids don’t appreciate being served lunch and told, “This is the hot dog of your discontent.” So mostly she writes when everyone else is in bed.

Amber loves to hear from readers and can be reached at

  1.  I pulled out the flowers and hefted the vase, which had to weigh a good twenty pounds.  All the while, the intruder stood in the closet and breathed. What the heck was he doing in there? Trying on my clothes? I turned on the closet and had to stifle a hysterical laugh. I was like a bad game of Clue. Audrey in the closet with the rose vase.
  2.  Woody agreed to ride with me, and then wheedled his way into driving. It was probably better that way, anyhow. I spent the ride shoring myself up for the ward. I wasn’t a big fan of the singles scene either. I barely knew anyone, and the people I did know were like ten years younger than me. But I had company now, and if I was going to be miserable navigating the marriage mart, then so was my brother. Because that’s what it means to be siblings. He grumbled all the way over, inventing a long and creative list of things he’d rather be doing. What can I say; making lists is a family trait.

  1.  When she finally glanced up and saw me, she held out a bundle of paper and gave me the evil eye. “He made me eat a hot dog with him.”  It wouldn’t have sounded like much, but I certainly wouldn’t have wanted to have lunch alone with Step-Ted, even at a hot dog cart in broad daylight. “You’re the best. Did you read it?” She glared at me, not bothering to hide her disdain. Of course she wouldn’t. Gretchen didn’t believe in hiding anything at all. “No. I’m going to go home and take seven baths, then burn everything you own.”  With that, she gave me a mock salute, dropped her phone in her purse and disappeared into the crowd. “Thanks!” I called after her, positive that she’d have forgotten how annoying Step Ted, and I, were by dinner.

Beneath the Void
Elisa Dane
(Fighting Chance #2)
Published by: Swoon Romance
Publication date: August 9th 2016
Genres: Romance, Young Adult

Sadie Reynolds is drowning.

Months have passed since Ian Daniels and Newton Daily opened fire at Atwood High school, killing dozens of students before turning the guns on themselves.

Determined to pay tribute to her fallen classmates and teachers, Sadie’s thrown herself into the memorial project at the newly rebuilt school. But it’s not enough. Horrific dreams of the shooting intertwined with memories of the night her mother was murdered keep her up at night and haunt her during the day.

The constant stream of hate raining down on her from faceless social media trolls only make matters worse. Her boyfriend, Hayden brings the only source of relief when he sneaks in to sleep next to her on nights her dad is at work.

Desperate for normalcy, Sadie fills every waking moment of her day with anything to take her mind off her pain. If she’s exhausted, she’ll be too tired to acknowledge the new threat gunning for her.

BENEATH the VOID is book 2 in Elisa Dane’s Fighting Chance series, a hard-hitting and unapologetically raw look at teen violence in schools and the aftermath of learning to pick up the pieces and heal.
