Cassius Rice, A.K.A., Cash has not done well in his college classes for over a year. With one semester to go, his father cut him off financially, leaving Cash out of luck. With no other options, he took up an offer that he later regrets. Sleep with his professor and record it, then he would have the money to obtain his college degree.

Simple enough for Cash.

What he did not expect was the Professor’s Teaching Assistant to block his efforts nor did he expect the underground fighting world to be so lucrative. All he wanted was to accomplish his quest and graduate.

Find out what happens when this F student applies himself in more ways than one.

Stay tuned for The D Student, The C Student, The B Student and The A Student.

REVIEW

THE F STUDENT

Cassius is the F Student in this book, which appears to be a small slice of life in the college community.

Cass lost his brother 2 years ago, and has been in downward spiral ever since. A straight A student to an F. His father has disowned him and stopped his money.

His roommate Shaggy has tried to get him interested in life again. The first means Graduate, and then back to the straight and narrow.

The first thing he has to do is find a way to get enough money to stay and graduate. Shaggy comes up with the idea of underground fights.

He also offered money from another source, which he is not happy about. Through the fights he meets Trudy, and she helps to get him involved in his studies.

I’m not saying anymore, this is a small slice of a bigger picture. I can’t wait for those pictures. This is a quick read with quite a bit packed in. So I’m waiting for the other slices until we get the A student.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

  1. I’m so sorry, but I couldn’t find the place to request a review.

    Here’s the blurb:

Even though she lives hundreds of miles away, when Langston, who dreams of being a chef, meets Cecile, a Juilliard-trained pianist, he is sure that his history of being a sidekick, instead of a love interest, is finally over. Their connection is real and full of potential for a deeper bond, but the obstacles between them turn out to be greater than distance. Can these busy, complicated people be ready for each other at the same time? Does it even matter? Before they can answer these questions, each must do battle with the ultimate demon—fear.

Told in a witty combination of standard prose, letters, emails, and diary entries, LETTING GO, in the tradition of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s AMERICANAH, is a long-distance love story that also examines race, religion, and the difficult choices we make following our passions. From the Great White North to the streets of New York City to the beaches of Bermuda, LETTING GO is a journey of longing, betrayal, self-discovery and hope you will never forget.

If this interest you, I’d love to send a mobi, pdf, or epub file
